Here are the best pictures of the Democratic Republic of Congo I took during my travels in East Africa during the Summer of 2007. I only visited the city of Goma, which is right across the border from the Rwandan town of Gisenyi. Goma is a fairly safe city with a substantial UN presence. I spent about six hours in Goma and never felt threatened. I would advise you to check the local situation before entering Congo.
